I love learning, and every day I learn something new. I hope you find as much pleasure in acquiring transformative knowledge as I do.
Some hours ago, I was listening to Airbnb’s Brian Chesky chronicle his experience about Airbnb and all that it took to grow an idea into a $30 billion company. The primary takeaway from the interview (see video below) centered on the following.

Chesky mentioned that in order to experience unparalleled success, it is necessary to do counterintuitive things. This suggests that sometimes the right course of action relating to success is to do the opposite of what you have always believed.
It is important to bear in mind that it takes courage to go against one’s natural inclinations—to go against the status quo—to go against the opinions of others, including the so-called experts. It takes courage to pursue your ridiculously-impossible dreams and ideas. It takes courage to admit that you, more often than not, do not have answers to the problems you are trying to solve. It takes courage to believe in yourself.
Another counterintuitive lesson successful people employ is to expose themselves to mistakes. That is, winners understand that the only way to become desensitized to the fear of failure is to fail. Obstacles, setbacks, and failures are less intimidating when you experience them repeatedly.
Knowing when to adjust or start over is just as important. That means paying attention to the clues around you. If you have been engaged in an activity or pursuing an idea that does not seem to be gaining any traction and momentum, and have not received market validation after some time, then it might be time to start making the necessary adjustments.
Deliver maximum value every chance you get. Make it your business to give more than you receive. Remember, whatever you pour into the universe will be poured back into you with the multiplied force and intensity of time. So embrace your birthright and the abundance you rightfully deserve to experience. And make the rest of your life, the best of your life.

Thank you for those encouraging words. They certainly resonate with me. I’ve found that when I let go of my attachment to key people in my life, and give myself permission to take a leap towards self expression, I receive so much love and support without the need to control. I wouldn’t say it’s effortless, but it’s certainly uplifting! The afteroarty within me feels deep, explosive & affirming.
Wow! Had to let that out!
Thank you again. xxx

I was listening to Tim Ferriss last week and he says something similar: start with the opposite.
