In order to achieve the highest levels of success and experience the best of what life has to offer, it necessitates that you perfect your craft. If you want to experience a dynamic and fulfilling life, then you must be willing to commit to becoming the best at what YOU do.
With this in mind, it is important to remember that perfecting your craft takes time, effort and patience. That’s right, patience! And this is the place where so many people become inextricably stuck. People are unimaginably impatient. Everybody wants to get “theirs” now. Everyone wants a seat at the table of success—someone else’s table of success.
Tweet this:
“Everybody wants to shine bright like a diamond, but nobody wants to get cut.”
If you want to win, then you must be willing to stick with “it”—whatever “it” is. Perfecting your craft means learning, making mistakes, tolerating failures, taking risks, starting over, digging deeper, pivoting, adapting and iterating on your idea, process and strategy.
There is not anything such as instant mastery of skills and knowledge, or overnight success. Greatness takes time to blossom! So if you are willing to have “it”—success, that is—then you must be willing to commit to “it,” meaning, your passion!

Too true! I’m proud to say I’ve done a great deal of progress with my impatient-self in the past two years… one of my biggest accomplishments to date as I hate being patient! 😀

Progress is great! I share similar sentiments about “patience.” But the scope of my goal compels me to adapt. Best!

Exactly! Everytime the impatience strikes I remember my goal and realize it’s actually worth the effort 😉

I am copying this line into my journal under the heading First Learn, then Earn. I have spent a lot of time learning and need to start getting some earning under my belt.
