“You’re Only As Good As Your Last Win”

The title might have been true if life were based solely on wins and losses. But there is an infinite number of dynamic life factors wins and losses do not capture.

Take for example a mother who gave birth to a healthy baby after a difficult pregnancy. What about that single parent who made countless sacrifices so his or her children could lead comfortable lives? And the teacher who comes in early and stays late because s/he genuinely cares? How about that child who defied the odds to beat cancer?

Winning or losing will define your life if you choose to play by those rules. The only game you stand to win or lose is the game you participate in—and life is not a game. Everything is not competition.

There are those who would have you believe that you are only as good as your last at-bat or last success. But the truth is, only you know where your story begins. And no one but you can control your destiny.

It is through our choices and experiences that we grow into becoming the best version of ourselves. So work hard, work intelligently, work confidently, work tirelessly, commit to excellence, and make the rest of your life the best of your life.
