As it relates to success, what odds would you give yourself to accomplish your dreams? One in ten? One in a hundred? One in a million?
For many people, a dream is a terrifying and impossible idea that will never be realized. For others, a dream is something that is possible, but somewhat out of reach. The third group believes that a dream is something they would like to become and something they will become.
If you are a part of the last group, then congratulations are in order because you have found a way to navigate through life’s problems and downsides while shifting your mindset and focus on life’s upsides and your own potentialities. You know where you are going even when you do not always see a way forward.
The reality is, even for those in the third group, most often, they do not have a seamless and fully-developed framework on how to achieve their dreams, notwithstanding, they hold on to their dreams and press on despite the odds and regardless of what life throws at them.
This group embodies the stuff dreams are made of.
Every dream, no matter the scale and scope, is made up of three primary ingredients.
The first ingredient is a burning desire.
Desire is the starting point of all achievement, not a hope, not a wish, but a keen pulsating [longing] which transcends everything. – Napoleon Hill
The second ingredient is discipline.
Discipline is the ability to give yourself a command and follow it. -Bob Proctor
The third ingredient is determination or persistence.
Knowing trees, I understand the meaning of patience. Knowing grass, I can appreciate persistence. –
